Internal Quality Assurance

As discussed at the National Update 2014 as part of our improving quality assurance processes we are asking clubs to allocate an internal quality assurance officer (IQA) within their club to act as the key point of contact for all quality issues relating to delivery and assessment of SLSGB courses, within your Surf Life Saving Club. We would suggest that if you have a Training Officer in place this person becomes the IQA and if you would like to put down a second IQA, that an additional Trainer Assessor within the club would be the most suitable person. We have attached the role description for the IQA Officer so you are aware of the duties and responsibilities of this role. The IQA will be offered support and guidance from their designated AQAS Officer  (the list of all AQAS Officers will also be being sent out within the next few weeks).

Please note we ask that all clubs have allocated an IQA within the next six weeks, therefore the deadline for submission of club IQA names is Monday 19th May.

If you have any questions relating to this process please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

Lauren Turner
